2023 Year End Report

Micah completed two marathons, the Appletree in Vancouver, WA and the Portland Marathon.  We also hosted our second Micah’s Mini Marathon in May with about 100 participants .   The Micah’s Miles team did several presentations about inclusion both in person and virtually.  The Book in Every School  campaign is currently at 436 elementary schools.  Micah is now an 8th grader and in addition to running marathons continued to compete on his school track team in shot put, the 100 meter dash, and on relays. 

2022 Year End Report

Micah completed one marathon, Portland, in 2022.  We also hosted our first Micah’s Mini Marathon which we hope will be an annual event each spring.  The Micah’s Miles team did several presentations about inclusion both in person and virtually.  Micah is now a 7th grader and in addition to running marathons competes on his school track team.

2021 Year End Report

In another pandemic year, Micah completed two marathons, one in person - Coeur d’Alene, and one virtual - Portland. A highlight of the year was raising $5100 for a new playground in Vancouver, WA through Harper’s Playground. Micah also transitioned from elementary school into middle school as a sixth grader.

2020 Year End Report

Micah completed three virtual marathons due to the pandemic. We also launched another book, Micah the Mighty Marathoner and his friends, written by Micah’s sister Mackenzie.

2019 Year End Report

Micah completed three marathons and a trail hike of 25.8 miles. Micah helped raise nearly $10,000 for Make-A-Wish, Tiny Superheroes, Stoke for Life and the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation. We shared more than 400 copies of the book Micah, the Mighty Marathoner, and did more than ten presentations to school about perseverance.

2018 Year End Report

Micah completed four marathons raising almost $6,000 for four great causes, Make-A-Wish, Tiny Superheroes, United Cerebral Palsy Foundation, and the Vancouver Police Activity League. We also launched the book Micah, the Mighty Marathoner.
